Greg, Your Jaeger sounds like a Parasitic. The size is right and the "minor amount of paleness in the lower belly" is depicted on plate 8 of Olsen and Larsson's Skuas and Jaegers. In my experience the white in a Long-tailed Jaeger's wings is difficult to see and is confined to two very narrow shaft streaks on the outer two primaries, whereas that in a Parasitic's wings is much more conspicuous. The shape of the tips of the two central rectrices would have clinched it. Either way, Nice bird. By the way, did you see the bananaquit? Paul pobrien776@aol.com
