Hi All: This morning I had the company of Jeff Gordon ( pres. of Delmarva Ornithological Society ) and his wife Martha. With his help, I was able to get on a female RUSTY BLACKBIRD, a new county bird for me. Other migrants- juv. SCARLET TANAGER, YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH , MYRTLE AND BLACKPOLL Warblers. I enjoyed the company and having some help. Now, the hawk count: 128 raptors between 8:30 am and 11:45 as follows- RT- 3, BW- 25( 17 of these in a kettle ), SS- 52, CH-18, a decent morning for KESTRELS, with 11 passing over, PEREGRINE- 1( very high ), TV-7, BE-3, NH-1 and OS-7. These numbers in 3 hours make me think that 300-400 birds might have been possible , and seriously regret having to leave for WORK!!!*** Leslie Fisher Cecil Co.
