The latest count of my Harford County big year list puts me at 234 with addition of RB Nut and Conn Warbler. I still think I have a reasonable shot at 245, the rest to be gleaned from the following list. The species marked with n asterisk I consider fairly certain, although some will undoubtedly be missed: *Red-throated Loon American Bittern Greater White-fronted Goose Brant Eurasian Wigeon *Surf Scoter *White-winged Scoter Black Scoter *Oldsquaw Northern Goshawk Golden Eagle Rough-legged Hawk Long-billed Dowitcher Franklin's Gull Little Gull Royal Tern Barn Owl Short-eared Owl Long-eared Owl Saw-whet Owl *Black-capped Chickadee Sedge Wren Philadelphia Viero Orange-crowned Warbler Mourning Warbler Clay-colored Sparrow Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow Yellow-headed Blackbird *Rusty Blackbird *Purple Finch *Pine Siskin Evening Grosbeak If I cand find six of the eight fairly certain birds and just five from the rest of the list, the total will be 245, not counting Trumpeter Swan and Slaty-backed Gull. In the event that the invasion from the north proceeds as expected, redpolls and even Snowy Owl are possible. Reports of any of these birds, and of course, anything better, will be gratefully received. Rick "This is a free country.
