All: After further review/consideration/information from Marshall as to infrequent occurence of the above, I have concluded that closer attention needs to be paid to the supraloral area of visiting White-crowns before labelling as Gambels. Should the bird reappear, I will be looking closely for a large, very white supraloral area. These ( white-crowns ) are fairly regular for me in the winter, so it would be nice to document a Gambels with certainty. For the time being, ????, and apologies for a hasty call.
