Hi All:
After a dismal 3 day stretch with only 55 birds counted Fri., Sat. and
Sunday, things were looking up this morning with 143 going over between
10am and 1pm. Denis Quin from Delaware was counting when I left.
Charlie Gant was beside himself when I arrived, having counted the
seasons first GOLDEN EAGLE!!
Also 13 RT, 9 RS ( still no major buteo flight ), SS 68, CH-16 ( at
least 50% of the accipters today were beautiful adult birds with the
steely blue backs ) AK-5,
TV-32, BE-6, GE-1 and UI-3
Others- PINE SISKIN and PURPLE FINCH both present.
