This morning we (4 Howard countians and a couple Baltimorians) found a SHARP-TAILED SPARROW at the University of MD farm. The bird was seen from 5-6 feet the first time with great views. Found again about 20 minutes later and observed for another couple minutes. Tomorrow morning I will take all interested birders to look for the little fellow. I will leave the farm parking lot at 7:30 a.m. SHARP. Br prepared to walk in water up to (almost) your knees and brush up to your chest. Please remember the farm is private property and limited access. There is active hunting with up to 5 regular hunters there ! There were 8 other sparrow species there and an American Bittern.
