The Kelp Gull continues daily at the Sea Breeze in Sandgates, St. Mary's County, MD, as of this posting, October 25, 1999. Per visiting birders and reliable staff at the Sea Breeze, the gull has been present daily (though not always all day long) for the past week. This now marks the longest stretch of "present daily" sightings (well over a month now) since the bird was first identified. Oysters are now on the menu (for both gull and hungry restaurant patrons) and cream of crab soup is plentiful. Directions to the restaurant and hotel info is available with a click of your finger on my address. Jane Kostenko jkostenko@somd.lib.md.us California, Maryland Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift; that's why they call it the PRESENT.
