Well, Lloyd finaly got lucky last night - he had 5 NSWO's in 4 hours of open nets at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. That brings the season total to 11 so far. Not bad, when you consider last season there were a total of only 4. (And Lloyd had none of them). Yesterday was a good passerine banding day, as well, with 98 birds in the nets. Nothing overly exciting, with many WTSP's and AMGO's. Got 12 Juncos - first day so far with more than one or two. Got another Yellow Palm. One good birder (who is on MDO) had what she thought might be a Golden Eagle flying over yesterday!! This would be a very exciting record for the sanctuary, of course. Good birding, Charlie ===== ****************************** Charlie Muise, Naturalist Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary Maryland, USA cmmbirds@yahoo.com "Leave the gun; take the cannoli" ****************************** __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
