The St. Mary's County, MD, Kelp Gull continues daily at the Sea Breeze
Restaurant in Sandgates, MD (per my own sightings, reports from visiting
birders and reliable restaurant staff).
Since Wednesday, November 3, a possible Yellow-billed Loon, also seen
off the piers of the restaurant, has been causing quite a stir. First seen
around 3 p.m. on 11/3, then refound from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on 11/4, and seen
again from 9 to 10 a.m. today, 11/5, the suspected loon actively feeds and
dives the breadth of the river and for several miles along its length.
