The Center operates three stations, located strategically on the Bay side, the Sea side, and at the tip. After several days of south winds, the winds finally subsided and turned, opening the door for what had been predicted all fall. This eclipses the 1995 big night of 128 birds, in which year we totalled 1006 Saw-whet captures. Our total now has risen to approximately 225 birds, with at least another six weeks of activity anticipated.
