Hi all -- We went over to Layhill Park this morning, to see what was about -- and before the coming cold front forces out any lingering half-hardies. The big news was FOX SPARROWS -- at least 25 and perhaps 30 of them! We also had about 8 American Tree Sparrows, 6 White-crowned Sparrows, as well as Swamp, Song, White-throated, Field and Junco. The only half-hardy was a House Wren. No Purple Finches today, alas! Gail Mackiernan and Barry Cooper Colesville, MD
