[MDOsprey] DE Snowy Owl taken to rehab

I just received an email from Ellen Short at Backyard Birds, Wilmington, DE,
that the Snowy Owl which has been frequenting the bait shop along Pt. Mahon
Rd. has been taken to Tr-State Bird Rescue. It had a shoulder wound (as Tom
Beale suspected Sunday) and is extremely emaciated. The prognosis is not
supposed to be good.

Ellen did not elaborate as to whether it was a gunshot wound or not...
Shooting of an owl is of course a violation of several federal statutes.
