[MDOsprey] Laughers in Anacostia

     The Washington DC CBC Saturday included a new locale: Kingman and
Heritage Islands in the Anacostia.  (These appear on some maps as
"Children's" and "1776" Islands respectively; a conservation story
here.)  Counters were Peter Vankevich, Judy Schaefer, Paul DeAnna, Lynne
Cherry, Jim Dougherty.  Jim invited our birding Mayor Tony Williams, who
couldn't quite make it.

    Highlight was 232 Laughing Gulls huddled on a flat in the middle of
the River - a. surprising number for DC in late December.
