Gene Scarpulla dn I, with help from Nancy Magnusson and Brian Monk,
covered the area around Conwoingo Dam on the Rock Run CBC on Thursday. It
was a wonderful day, very birdy, except at the dam, where they stopped
generating about 10:00 a.m. and did not start again until 4:00 p.m. We came
up with a whopping 88 species in our territory, including:

Double-crested Cormorant 5
GREAT CORMORANT 1
PEREGRINE FALCON 3 (2 ads, 1 imm)
Gulls 25,000
Iceland Gull 1 (ad)
Lesser Black-backed Gull 3
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE 2 !!!
RED-HEADED WOODPECKER 1
Pine Siskin 1
Purple Finch Finch 1

Not to steal any thunder from the compiler, but it looks like the
count has broken the all-time high of 103 by at least 6 species.

make up. -- Rex Stout
