Georgia,
I was driving out to Hughes Hollow a few years ago, in my wifes new (used)
car, a small Honda Civic. As I came up the hill from Seneca, a Wild Turkey
appeared in the middle of the road, and waited until I was almost upon it before
it took wing. It flew nearly as straight up as it could, and actually hit the
drivers side roof of the car as I passed it! Lucky for it, it was not turkey
hunting season!
