I saw a lone Northern Rough-winged Swallow on my lunchtime walk around
Schoolhouse Pond today, my first of the year. Also present was a small
group of breeding plumage Laughing Gulls, a flyover adult Bald Eagle (which
scared the gulls off), a flyover Red Tailed Hawk, several Black Vultures, 4
Gadwall, 3 American Wigeon, 1 Double Crested Cormorant, and 2 Osprey. I
haven't seen the Bald Eagles (either singly or as a pair) in the sycamores
at the back side of the pond since last Thursday.
