Hi --

Although not about birds, this should be a fascinating program to anyone
interested in Madagascar's unique wildlife. These lectures are FREE (as is
parking).

Alison Jolly, renowned primatologist and author, presents Lords and Lemurs
(or Mad Scientists, Kings with Spears, and the Survival of Diversity in
Madagascar). In the extreme south of Madagascar, there is a place called
Berenty, where
Tandroy tribesmen, French lords, mad scientists,
and two or three species of lemurs may be found.
Forty years ago, Alison Jolly went to Berenty to
study lemurs, and she has been enthralled by the
place ever since. In Lords and Lemurs she tells the
story of Berenty, its people, and its other animals.
