The following birds of note were observed during an early morning jaunt
through RCCP:
2 Northern Shoveler (m/f) on the Hawlings River
many Tree Swallows staking out the nest boxes
1 Palm Warbler (e. yellow) auditioning for the Met
2 Louisiana Waterthrush singing along the river

The private pond along Zion Road held:
1 Common Loon in breeding plumage
1 Pied-billed Grebe
3 Ring-necked Duck

The Blue Mash pond along Zion Road held:
10 D-C Cormorant (some with crests displayed) perched on snags by the beaver
lodge
8 Bufflehead
3 Blue-winged Teal.
