Jenny, congrats on the Palm Warblers. Were they the brown Western race or the yellow Eastern race? Both species migrate through our area and typically the yellow birds reach us before the plain-breasted westerns but there are still some holes in our understanding of the timing of northward migration so it is helpful for folks to report which race was spotted. Check Sibley for an excellent comparison of the two.

Thanks!
