Yesterday I spent the whole day in the woods at Nanjemoy orienteering
with 5th graders and looking and listening for Blue-gray Gnatcatchers.
No luck in the morning, but they must have showed up during lunch. They
were very vocal and visible after lunch. As warm as it was yesterday I
expected they would be back any time and they didn't let me down.

I would have sent this message last night but my computer was not
working. Chipping sparrows are singing form every tree and bush now too.
Saw one checking out the cedar they nest in every year.

Have fun birding in the beautiful spring weather.

Naturally,
Mike Callahan
