I have had a pair on the pond below my house pretty regularly for a couple of weeks. This is in Monrovia, MD (think Damascus or Frederick).  I am waiting for some activity, chicks, or obvious nesting since the "safe date" for counting them as MD breeders is June 1 (I think it was).

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Green-Winged Teal DC on the lawn

I was surprised to see a Green-Winged Teal sitting on the lawn behind the Marriott Wardman Park hotel this morning on a grass covered hill.  He was sitting in close proximity to a male Mallard and a male Mallard x domestic mix.
He could be a refugee from the boardwalk fire in the wetlands area at the zoo.
