Hi All,

I went for a walk this afternoon after (hopefully) the thunderstorms
past. I am trying to mend my ways and report more of my sightings, so
here goes:

Partial yard list 4-14-04.

Ovenbird (first for the year) 2
Louisiana Waterthrush 1
Greater Yellowlegs 7
Lesser Yellowlegs 3
Solitary Sandpiper (new for year) 2
Brown Thrasher 3
Common Yellowthroat 1 (male) (new for year) and actually not yard and
not actually new. I caught a glimpse of one in January.
Palm Warbler 2 (yellow)
White-eyed Vireo 1 (new for year)
Green-winged Teal 16
 Rusty Blackbird 1
American Robin many
Red-winged Blackbird many
Swamp Sparrow 2
Pileated Woodpecker 1
Hairy Woodpecker 3
Northern (yellow-shafted) Flicker 1

Also, seen yesterday, but with the rain there was no Direcway service, 1
Willet flying over the lower county and landing in a puddle on Camp
Brown Road with yellowlegs.

This makes 138 for St. Mary's County for the year and 74 for my yard for
2004.

Good Birding,
Patty Craig
