Chimney Swifts arrive, Baltimore, April 15

Just as expected, I saw the first Chimney Swifts over Baltimore on April 15.
Punctual! At 10 AM, a pair was flying around the Cylburn Mansion. At dusk on
April 15 at the Hampden migration roost, I saw 88 Chimney Swifts descend into
the Mill Center, 3900 Chestnut Avenue, at sunset.

Join us! On Sunday, April 25, 7:15 - 8:15 PM, join the Baltimore Bird Club
trip in Hampden, in Baltimore City along the Jones Falls. In 2003 we saw 1,000
migrating swifts go into one chimney there, on this date. For directions go to
