Anyone interested in an early Sunday morning bird walk along Poffenberger
Road near Jefferson/Middletown/Burkittsville, Frederick County, Maryland?

I was thinking a start about 7:00 am. Poffenberger is a quiet gravel road
that follows Catoctin Creek and is a popular spot for migrants. There are
two red-tailed hawk nests along the route. The walk from my house to
Poffenberger leads through open fields with lots of sparrows and larks.

Anyone is welcome, this is not affiliated with any club and any level of
birder is welcome; I'm at beginner level myself. This means experienced
birders will be tapped for their knowledge. The walk will not be limited to
birds, but will include any plants or creatures we encounter. Bring field
guides, bins and donuts.

Please RSVP directly to me by 10pm tonight. I'll send directions and
answer questions up to that time.
