Although I saw only three warbler species; the birding was very good at
Soldier's Delight yesterday morning. I tallied forty-six species during a
four hour walk along the Red/Yellow/Orange trails. I found seven Broadwing
Hawks roosting in deciduous forest along the Orange Trail. They launched
themselves skyward at 9:30 a.m. as if the magic migration alarm clock went
off. In the next hour, 147 had soured overhead accompanied by 2 Osprey, 2
Sharp-shinned Hawk, 1 Cooperıs Hawk, 3 American Kestrel and a Merlin.
