Hello.

Rock Creek Park was relatively slow this morning, but I found the
following migrants on my walk:

Eastern Kingbird
House Wren
Gray Catbird
Brown Thrasher
Wood Thrush
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Blue-headed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Yellow-rumped Warbler (all around, in large numbers)
"Western" Palm Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Ovenbird (in the woods next to picnic area 16)
Chipping Sparrow

I also thought that I heard a parula at picnic area 17, but I could not
locate the singer. Oddly enough the best spot turned out to be the
nature center parking lot, shortly before I left the park.

A Carolina wren appeared to be building a nest inside one of the metal
gates that the NPS uses to close off roads.
