On Sunday, April 25, 2004 on a BBC field trip at dusk, MOS members from 5
different counties counted 1,080 Chimney Swifts as they descended into the Mill
Center Chimney in Hampden within just 5 minutes, between 8:00 - 8:05 PM. This
was considerably more than the 377 swifts counted there just 2 nights before,
on April 23.
