Three new arrivals here on Leeds Creek today (4/26) - Ruby-throated
Hummingbird (M), Great Crested Flycatcher, and Orchard Oriole.
Also - the Goose on our Osprey Platform successfully hatched four
goslings this past weekend - and they obviously survived the ~ 16-ft drop to
the water with no injury. We were away from home from the 21st to the 25th,
so missed seeing the water entry. A second brood (six goslings), hatched
over a week ago, is also present on this part of the creek. At least
sixteen adults have been recently seen in the area. Obviously we are well
on our way toward having hordes of resident geese over here.
