The most reliable spot I know of for Barred Owl is the C&O Canal towpath at
Seneca, especially upstream from Seneca Creek around the old turning basin.
I also saw one last Saturday at Sycamore Landing while biking along the
canal.

Ospreyers -

A friend who is a very experienced birder will be visiting from England
this weekend. He has never yet managed to see a barred owl. Does
anyone know of a spot in DC or Montgomery County where we would be
likely to find one on Saturday morning? Offline replies welcome.

Thanks,

Jim Boughton
