Please help me out with peep identification. I have never seen a Western Sandpiper in spring. How far advanced were they toward breeding plumage? How did you separate them from the Leasts and Semis which should be the more common peeps? By the way, 14 would be a state record high count for spring and a record early date which makes your report all the more extraordinary.
