Hi all Just some quick highlights from my part of the Queen Annes Co May
count . 85 species 6:00 AM thru 9:00 pm Seen .Two male Scarlet
Tanager singing across the field from each other Reeds creek area .
Male and female Summer Tanager seen were not singing . Female
Orchard oriole carrying nesting material , female Red Winged
blackbird doing same . A pair of lLeast Terns at Reeds creek male with a
minnow landed on a pier next to female dangling this fish soon they mated
fish still in males bill then flew off together. Question do Least Terns
mate away from nesting area or do i need to look for a new nesting place?
White Crowned sparrow 1 . At Reeds Creek at abuot 8:30 pm heard 2 Chuck
wills widow calling when i got hope at 9:00 pm shut the door a Barred
Owl called my only owl and last bird of the day. On Sun Am did some
atlasing in my home block Blue Jay feeding recently fledged young .
3 Redtails Flying high in a circle one looked to be an immature
wing feathers looked rough and could not see any red on the tail . Any
thoughts on them also.

Happy birding Danny Poet Queenstown Md
