While doing my run this morning from Shipley's Choice to B&A Trail via Kinder Farm Park, I heard the unmistakable descending whinney of a Sora. It was between 9 and 9:30 and it called once from the reeds near the tree line in the pond near the trail going out to East-West Hwy. Without binocs or even my glasses I did not try to stay around to see him - whether that would even have been possible. Plan to get back there over next few days with better equipment and try to see the bird. The grass and reeds are very thick and fairly high right now so it's going to be a tough bird to find.
