between 8 and 11 we observed or heard 48 species. The SORA was there again this morning calling but could not find the bird. Also, Great Blue Heron; Mallard; Osprey; Sharp-shinned, Red-shouldered, & Red-tailed Hawks; Rock & Mourning Doves; Red-bellied, Downy, & Northern Flicker; Eastern Wood-Pewee & Eastern Kingbird, Tree & Barn Swallows; Carolina & House Wrens; Mockingbird/Thrasher/Bluebirds/Robins; Blue-gray Gnatcatchers (saw two on different nests); Chickadee/Titmouse/Jay & American Crow/Starlings; White-eyed Vireos (lots of them around the park); Common Yellowthroat, Yellow-breasted Chat and lots of Blackpoll Warblers; Towhee & Chipping & Field Sparrows; Cardinal/Blue Grosbeak/lots of Indigos; Red-winged Blackbird/C. Grackle/B-headed Cowbird; female Orchard Oriole & male Summer Tanager; Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Solitary Sandpiper. Interesting was the absense of Catbirds which had been abundant there for May count. regards, Tom Bradford
