M.O.S. World Series of Birding Team 2004 results

The Maryland Ornithological Society World Series of Birding Team "The Holy Order of Loggerhead Shrikes", recorded 148 species in Cape May County, NJ during the 21st annual competition on Saturday May 15, 2005.  The team tied for third place in their category of Cape May County.  The team birded non-stop from 12:01 AM to 11:50 PM.    Weather conditions were highly unfavorable all week, with most teams reporting significantly fewer species than last year.
The MOS Team top birds included 5 (!) Mississippi Kites; Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Purple Gallinule, Black-necked Stilt and Willow Flycatcher.
