1 Barred Owl silent and resting in broad daylight- first of the year reported for DC
Sorry, won't tell you where I saw it except to say it was in an area frequented by many and I saw it from pavement in Rock Creek Park. What can I say? Sometimes you look for warblers and find an owl. So keep your eyes sharp and good birding to all. Now bring on that weather front and a few more migrants.
