Hello everyone. 3 Mississippi Kites all flying together in the same weak thermal. 1 male, 1 female, and 1 first year bird. The Female was missing a couple secondary on each wing very distinctive. I watched the first year bird feeding on a dragon fly. Tree swallows were bombarding the Male bird for a few minutes. I was talking with my friend Dr. Maurice Barnhill about how I spent an hour out in my back yard and didn't have a kite yesterday. Well this more than makes up for it. I thought my kite string had broke.
The 2 adults are still out there. That is about 15 minutes in view now.
