John Churchill and I did some waiting and searching today for the Kites. As I suspected, there wasn't very much movement. The wind was blowing out of the East with a occasional drizzle. Blaaa. I did enjoy his company and we did see some interesting birds, but nothing to write home about. I hope that when the sun comes out and the warm days come back the Kites will reappear.
I will keep everyone posted. If anyone makes it up this week when I am at work, please leave me a note on how you did. I usually get home around 4:00 pm. I will leave a sign in sheet there on my front porch. Please try not to disturb the Tree Swallows nesting at the entrance to my drive way.Thanks.
Also I have had a request for directions again.Come up I-95 to the exit 100 in North East. Head South
on 272 until you hit Route 40. Make a left hand turn. You will be heading
North or East on route 40, toward Elkton and Delaware. Go aprox. 5 to 6
miles and
you will come up to a road with a light called Landing Lane. Make a right.
There is a Texaco station there on the corner,
Landing lane comes to a stop sign at the end. Make a right at the stop
sign.Old Field Point RD. Go about 2 miles and the
neighborhood is on the right hand side. River Point Landing, make the right
on River mist dr., go to the end
make a right on Clear Creek Glen. My house is #60. About the 8th house on
the right hand side. White house blue shutters.
Feel free to park in front of my house. Please don't block any drive ways.
