Haven't seen birds dining on them yet, but I watched a dragonfly devouring a
cicada last week at Noland's Ferry.  He could not fly with his prize, but
would not let of it either, even though it seemed to be aware of me watching
it!  He just munched away on the trail.  I did not stay to see how much he
could eat.  Wonder if his stomach is a big as his eyes? Amazing!

...The question refers to birds, of course (though I wouldn't put it past
some of you). Although my neighborhood is literally crawling with cicadas,
so far the only birds I've actually witnessed eating the things are House
Sparrows. You folks must have seen other cicada snackers. How big a list can
we compile?
