A couple years ago at Western Run in Baltimore I saw a Baltimore Oriole
drive away a hawk perched in one of the trees by the stream.

> While attempting to photograph the nesting osprey at the Visitor Center at
the Patuxent Research Refuge earlier this week, I witnessed a Baltimore
Oriole ATTACK one of the Osprey. The Osprey had landed in a snag after a low
flight over the water at Cash Lake. Immediately a Baltimore Oriole came
charging from a nearby white oak and dive bombed (a la mockingbird). It
proceded to chase the osprey all the way back to the osprey platform in the
middle of the lake. Then the oriole continued to patrol the shoreline for a
few minutes. What a sight...this little bird, flashing black and orange,
chasing this large bird!!
