Sean and all,
Well I made the long trip up to Sean's again, and was rewarded with nice
views of 2 Mississippi Kites, with as many as 4 soaring in the low heat haze over
the distant trees. When I left about 3:15 only the Mississippi's had been
seen in the PM hours, though there was a report of the Swallow-tailed having been
seen about 9:30 (and after I left apparently). So even though I misssed that
bird, I did get the MS Kite as a state bird, which was really the one I
wanted. I have Swallow-tailed Kite in MD from a hurricane-blown bird in LaVale in
Allegany County in early Sept of 1974!

Still, I would like to see this Swallow-tailed bird, so will likely head back
again over the weekend. Many thanks to Sean, his wife and neighbors for their
hospitality. That swimming pool was looking awfully inviting this afternoon,
I might add...
