       Monday am (6-07) I had a brief but very good look at the Purple
Gallinule feeding on the top of the vegetation off the SE side of the
island.  This is the same area where I waded within 4 feet of it the last
time I checked my swallow boxes.  It has now been here at least a month.
     I suppose everybody who wanted to see it has already, but if not the
best time to look for it (for no other reason than you are not looking into
the sun) is probably in the afternoon,
