I just evicted a nestling Brown-headed Cowbird from the Carolina Wren
nest in a hanging flower basket.  I estimate that the parasite was the
same size as an adult wren or just a bit bigger.  Now there is 1 wren
nestling (looked very feeble...don't know if it will survive) and 1 egg
left in the nest.  Anyone have any guidance on egg id...Cowbird vs.
Carolina Wren?
