Hello birders.
Early this morning there was a Tundra Swan under the Chain Bridge in DC,
heading upstream on the Potomac. Bald Eagles and Prothonotary Warblers
were in roughly the same places reported by John Belz a week ago (across
the river at the dam in mile 5 and halfway through mile 6,
respectively). The juvenile prothonotary warblers were calling and
following around a brilliantly-colored male which was singing. Another
(presumed) adult could be heard singing in addition to the one which was
visible.
