Made a brief visit to Gwynn Oak park this morning.
The Orchard Oriole and Kingbird nests are now empty;
we found two young Kingbirds being fed.

Birds seen/heard included a Green Heron on the flats, an
adult Wood Duck with six young, two Mallard males,
a Red-shouldered Hawk (it was a revelation how red
the shoulders could shine in the light), Mourning Doves,
a Yellow-billed Cuckoo (heard), Flicker (there is a recently
active nest hole), a Warbling Vireo, several
Rough-winged and Barn Swallows, Chickadees,
Mockingbirds, Cedar Waxwings, Baltimore Oriole,
American Crows with young, Goldfinch, House Finch
and House Sparrows.

There were also numerous Starling and Grackle young. One
was never out of sight nor sound of some sort of bird.

We also made a stop at Leakin Park this morning. My Chat mojo
continues to work since seeing my lifer. We were treated to the
longest, closest, chat serenade I've ever experienced. I finally
sat down and propped my back against the hill to rest a bit as we
watched it.
