It has been great fun following these kite reports. I haven't gone to see
them because I've seen both species many times before (not that I wouldn't
have enjoyed seeing them again). I'll miss the vicarious thrill of Sean's
wonderful reports. Too bad a few bad apples (and maybe too much publicity?
too many listers?) spoiled the bunch of fun I've been having.

Really, though - people barging into a house to use the restroom?! Give me
a break! May the likes of such Yahoos miss all the other rarities that
would supply their listing habit a fix.

Thanks, Sean.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Important Kite notice

Hello everyone.
Due to the incredible amount of birders coming to my neighborhood, I'm
beginning to have issues with my neighbors.
1. If you have already come and seen the Kites, please do not return just
to see
them again.
2. If you do come because you have not seen them, please leave after you
have
seen them.
3. While here, please stay on my property, do not block the street with
yourself, your vehicle or your tripod.
4. Please do not block any driveways. Park on the same side of the street.
5. Please do not trespass on my neighbors property to view the birds.
6. If there are more than 4 or 5 people here viewing, please come back
later.
7. If you need to use the bathroom, my home is no longer available. Too
many
people are barging in without knocking. This has really upset me and my
family.

I am sorry to have to lay down these rules so tough, but I do have to live
here after the Kites have gone.
I really do enjoy birding and sharing these birds with all of you, but
things have been changing for the worse
lately. I must say the most well behaved birders have been the Maryland
birding groups. Thanks, all you
 wonderful Osprey fans.

This will probably be my last report of the Kites. Feel free to contact me
for any comments.
Happy Birding.
Sean
