Keith Costley's sighting of a Cooper's Hawk in the Granite area, Baltimore County, nudged me to report an adult Cooper's Hawk I saw soaring over Lake Roland, Baltimore County,  on Sat., June 19.  In three years of atlasing the area, this was my first Cooper's at Lake Roland.

Is the species increasing as a Maryland nester?
