I have to give credit where credit is due. Paul Kreiss has been observing
and telling me about the pair of Ruddy Ducks on Druid hill Reservoir for
some time now. I was very pleased to hear that he confirmed that they were
not just stragglers, but actually breeding there.

Nancy and I went to see them today, and after observing one of the young
swimming mostly hidden behind the grass at the north end of the reservoir,
we saw the pair of adults emerge from the grass followed by all three
chicks.
