"Brookmont Dam" is what canoeists call the Pumping Station Dam.  There
is an older dam, built when the canal was put in, which is 50 yds below
Brookmont Dam.  It was built to funnel water into the canal and is
called the Feeder Dam #1, or Little Falls Dam.   (From Thomas Hahn's
