First Obvious Fall Migrant-Upper Watts Branch

While peering out my kitchen window after lunch today (7/16) I was amazed to
see a male Prothonotary Warbler in the Dogwood just 12 feet away.   Amazed
because we have been living in this house for 34 years, and this was the first
Prothonotary I have seen in the yard (# 163).   That makes two yard warblers in
seven months, the last being Orange-crowned on 12/27/03.   Let's see, that
leaves only Swainson's (forget it) and Connecticut that I could possibly add to
the 35 already on the list.   (Of course, you could always draw Kirtland's from
the "Dream On" list.)
