Mr. Huy,
Before you post another word to any, repeat ANY, list serv, you should check
out your own name on Google. It is easy to do. You might be surprised how
many places you have been archived. The internet is not private. Everything
posted there is kept in multiple locations.

Birdingonthe.net provides a service to the GLOBAL birding community. If you
do not wish to participate in it, there is one simple way to accomplish
that. Just stop posting any and all messages.

regards,
Tom Ewert

Subject: [MDOSPREY] List piracy

>As usual I cannot keep my mouth shut and will waste my daily posting limit
on this topic...

>As owner of MDOSPREY, Norm has the right to deny Mr. Siler permission to
reproduce or redirect his list, even from publicly available archives.
Think of it as a book, would you think it ok to copy one for your friends?
>
>What is posted on any list should never be copied, reproduced or cross
posted without the consent of the author. To do so constitutes a copyright
violation.
>
>I'm sure Birdingtonthe.net is a nice service but Mr. Siler could simply
provide a link to MDOSPREY from his site, but even then he should have the
courtesy to ask Norm's permission.
>
>While I know my comments on this list are publicly available, I prefer to
know where my stupidity might be posted (and you all know I produce plenty
of it). Who knows when I may accidentally send something of a sensitive
nature that Norm can remove from public view? I certainly don't want to
worry that it still appears elsewhere.
>
>I make my posts (I hesitate to call them contributions) with the
understanding that they are distributed to this group only and will be
available on the archive. I don't want them appearing anywhere else.
>
>As such I hereby forbid Mr. Siler from reproducing, copying, redistributing
or otherwise engaging in any form of media manipulation or redirection with
any post I make on this or any other list without my express written consent
on each individual message.
>
>Geez, I'm supporting Norm. What is this world coming to? And what is wrong
with you people that subscribe to this list yet need to see it on another
site as well? You should be out atlasing or doing something useful if you
have that much free time!
